NEXT MEETING: MONDAY
3rd OCTOBER 2005 7.30pm. VILLAGE HALL.
BUS SERVICE: The Village
Appraisal showed that Parishioners would like a bus service between Bawdeswell/Dereham
and the PC are investigating the provision of such a service. At
a recent meeting in Elsing Village Hall the NCC stated that any bus service
provided must raise 30% of their operating costs from fares.
Any bus they provide must therefore have Community support or it is withdrawn.
The Bus provided on Fridays by Konect picks up very few people in Bawdeswell
and if more people do not use it will undoubtedly be withdrawn and NCC
would be reluctant to provide a bus on any other day. It is now up
to Parishioners to show more support for a Bus Service if we are to achieve
this aim.
