Platinum Farm Stables fund raising sale
Jean, Ron and all at the stables wish to extend a huge thank you to all those that made the day an outstanding success, from those that contributed items for sale and baked cakes to all those that generously gave their time and help in running the event. I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
The sale raised an unbelievable £505.29 for which we and the ponies are more than grateful.
Letter to Homes in Two Fields Way
Warning! Burglars are operating in Two Fields Way
We have had a second burglary within a month in ‘Two Fields Way’. Both have been carried out in a similar way with forced entry through a rear door/window and items stolen from bedrooms. In both cases the individuals have stolen small easy to hide items which include jewellery, watches, cash and other personal items.
16-25 year olds, who may have a drug habit or worse still a drug dependency or drug debt, generally commit this type of crime.
Both victims and police believe that the individuals live within, very close, or visit our neighbourhood frequently, due to the manner inwhich these burglaries took place.
Please protect yourselves, keep your property secure and look out for others too.
· If you are going out or away for a period of time, be discrete as to your movements but if possible let a trusted neighbour/s know you will be away. Both crimes have been committed after a time when it is possible that the victimes were observed leaving their properties.
· Do not keep large amounts of cash at home.
· Jewellery and watches and all other valuables should be photographed and if possible stored very safely.
· Check your home security. If in doubt call your local crime prevention officer.
· Let everybody know that this is happening, the more that know the more who may catch the idiot/s.
These people are not only a threat to you. They are a threat to our community.
This correspondence has been delivered to every property in Two Fields Way as a precaution, not as an indictment.
