ALL
SAINTS CHURCH, BAWDESWELL
Thanks to all who supported
us over Easter.
The Maundy Thursday evening service was very well attended – a re-enactment
of the washing of the Disciples feet and the Last Supper took place, and the
service closed with the emptying of the Sanctuary of everything but the table,
and the switching off of the church lights.
It was a very moving service.
On Easter Sunday we had an Easter GiG Service
with Easter eggs and egg painting two of the attractions there. It was the only non-eucharistic
Easter Sunday service in the Benefice and this attempt to Reach Out seemed to be popular – there were 40 adults and 20
children. Thanks to James , Jane and Katey for
providing the music, Louise and Sabina for
prayers and the bible reading, Sandi for the eggs to paint and the chocolate
nests to eat, Sue for organising the colourful floral displays and everybody
else for their help in making it a very happy occasion.
The next GiG is planned for a month’s time on Rogation Sunday when
we will be planting some seeds as an activity.
The Annual Vestry Meeting
followed by the AGM is to be on Monday 24th April at 8pm in the
church. It will be reported in the next
Reeve’s Tale. Just a reminder that the AGM is open to all
interested parishioners.
CHRISTIAN AID
Mr and Mrs Battley have once again
agreed to have the Christian Aid box in their shop the week 14th -20th May to
collect your envelope in. Please do not take the envelope in before this date.
I still need collectors for that
week to go from house to house.
