LETTERS & NOTICES

LETTERS

Congratulations to Bill Waller of Foxley, on receiving the Silver Acorn award in Scouting.
He has been involved in the movement for over 30 years in different Troops, having held positions of Group Scout Leader, Scout Leader and Assistant Scout Leader.
Even after having Bilateral Knee replacements and losing nearly all his hearing, he still carried on, and at the moment is still involved with the 2nd Toftwood Scouts.
Well done.
Ruth, Carl, Edwina, Julia, Keith Rimini and Frazer.

Two Fields Way, Bawdeswell
There seem to be an increased number of games being played at the bottom of Two Fields Way.  We all realise the lighter nights are coming therefore the children are out to play, however should we really have to be putting up with our cars and houses being hit,  and our gardens being trampled over.
This sort of behaviour shouldn’t have to be tolerated, especially when there is a perfectly good playing field in the village.
Could the parents of those concerned please put a stop to these sort of games.
A resident of Two Fields Way

NOTICES
Bawdeswell Parish Council

1. Parking on Pavements in The Street is making it difficult for pedestrians and is breaking up the surface as well as being anti-social and illegal.
The PC have agreed to report offenders to the Police!

2. The second is about the grassed area opposite the Garden Centre being used for the sale of cars. The area is private land belonging to Highways who allow the Garden Centre to use it because it keeps cars off the road but
they will not allow the sale of cars.
The Parish Council are so concerned that this seriously detracts from the appearance of the village that offenders will be reported to Highways and they will asked that the offender be prosecuted.
