THE BECK WI
Sickness and family commitment meant that fewer than usual members turned up at Sparham's Old Scholl Room on Monday, 12th February. However, those who did attend enjoyed a most interesting, informative and often amusing talk by Martin Wynne.
After serving as a Police Officer for 32 years, Martin has been a Toastmaster (beautiful red jacket!) he told us the history of the Society, and amazed us with the varied duties involved when officiating at a function, be it weddings, luncheons, conferences, Civic occasions etc. His attention to detail was most enlightening.
After our tea/coffee break, Aleathia read last month's Minutes. Martin's choice of the exhibits - 1st Audrey, 2nd Gill. The raffle was won by Audrey.
We meet again on Monday 12th March at 7.30 p.m. Our speaker is Russell Eden; subject 'Overcoming Adversities. The exhibit is a Home made Mothering Sunday Card.
