BAWDESWELL PARISH COUNCIL-EXTRACTS FROM MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 5th FEBRUARY 2007 AT 7.45pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL
PRESENT: Councillor’s Hind, Mallen, Lilwall, Cockburn, Swain and Wallace 35 parishioners
MINUTES OF LAST MEETING; Agreed and signed
Mr. Carl Beane was co-opted onto the PC.
PLANNING:
-Bawdeswell Stores, The Street – change of use of 4 bedroom house to 3 No.1 bed houses, replace derelict sheds with extension to retail. Mr. Andrew Farquarson of Martin McColls Ltd. attended the meeting to answer any questions. It came across quite forcibly from some of the Parishioners present that there were many objections/concerns relating to the traffic in The Street, shop deliveries, loading and unloading of lorries in the vicinity and cars being parked along the Old Reepham Road. Three new parking spaces have been made available for houses plus 2/3 for the new Manager and assistants at the back of the shop. Mr. Farquarson promised to let us know exactly how many new parking spaces can be included plus Highways comments.
-Folland Court – PP was refused in December for demolition of sheltered housing and construction of 8 dwellings for rental and erection of PO. Laura Handford (Flagship Housing Business Development Manager) and Peter Wells PW architect attended the meeting to find out how Parishioners would like to see site developed. Parishioners would like more bungalows for the older people in the village but this might not be cost effective or viable . PW are to improve the pathway through the site. Peter Wells to produce new plans. Laura promised to go away and let PC have details of exact mix of houses in Bawdeswell and occupancy – Highways comments – cost of building bungalows against original proposed housing. Matter pending new plans/costs.
- Corner House, 37a Hall Road – 1st floor bedroom and ensuite extension – no objections.
- Bawdeswell Hall – internal/external alterations including new dormer window -sliding/folding door – No Objections
- PP granted to Bramley House, Meadow Loke for alterations/extension.
-Proposed T-Mobile installation on land at Roman Road. Mr. Gurney has had preliminary talks. PC informed that proposed site is in ‘designated area of interest’.
- 20mph signs Paradise Road/Folland Court/Blackhorse Close – NCC state that matter was considered but it was felt that as these roads were short residential roads accessed through the terminal signing along The Street etc., mainly by residents, the layout is sufficient.
- Annual Audit for year 2006/07 now concluded – Auditors Certificate signed.
NEXT MEETING - MONDAY 5TH MARCH 2007 – 7.45pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL.
