Benefice News and Events

March promises to be a busy month with lots of events.

The Lent group meetings actually began the last week of February but there was not time to get them into last month’s magazine.  The groups meet on a Wednesday evening at Hillside, Church St, Elsing at 7.30 and on a Thursday afternoon at Foxley Lodge at 2.00pm.  Each meeting will last an hour and a half.  Even if you missed the first meeting you are most welcome to come along and join in the discussions based on the writings of Mother Julian called “Enfolded With Love”.  Copies of Mother Julian’s book can be purchased from the Rector for £3.50 each.

On the 15th of the month there is to be a village lunch at Lynghurst at 12.30pm.

A quiz night and supper will be held at Bawdeswell Village Hall on 17th in aid of the Friends of the Church at 7.30.  Please phone Sandi or Robin Taylor on 01362 688268 if you would like a ticket.

The Lyng Spring Bazaar will take place on Saturday 24th March in the village hall at 10am.

Finally, the Friends of St Margaret’s Church AGM will be held on Thursday 29that 7.30pm in the church followed by a talk on Lincoln Cathedral.

This is the month in which the church electoral rolls are revised.    You need to be on a roll if you are on the PCC or wish to vote at the annual church meeting.  If you are currently on an electoral roll you may be contacted.
