REEPHAM
& DISTRICT ROTARIANS
The Tsunami disaster brought
the plight of the displaced and dispossessed to the public mind in an unprecedented
way.
The response of members
of the Club and their friends and associates led to an opportunity to explain
the purpose of an Aquabox and make the collection of the contents a routine
activity for many.
For more details visit www.aquabox.org
There is a very busy time
ahead for members of the Reepham & District
Rotary.
Those who are able to sing
are busy practising for the old time
music hall, which is to
take place at Reepham High School on Saturday 19th
March. The group from
Sussex have again agreed to put on a new show and to
help with the entertainment
would be a stint from the Rotarians.
During March and April members
are building a new shower and toiler block at
Whitwell Hall. Luckily
there are 5 builders and 2 architects in the club
plus a lot of labourers!
Teams of Rotarians will physically build the
structure and Rotarian Eddie
Rust Andrews will supervise the project. It is
to be the club's Rotary
centaury project.
After the building work has
been completed, we then have a sponsored cycle
ride on May 22nd.
A big effort is being made
to replenish the coffers after
monies had been promised
to acquire Aquaboxes for the Tsunami disaster.
