THE BECK WI

Our Speaker on Monday February 14th was Mr B Leveton, a name well known by members who remembered the specialist picture framing and restoration work done in Norwich for many years.
Mr Leveton who has lived and worked in Costessey since 1998, spoke of the painstaking work that is done to restore damaged paintings (and frames) to their original state. This was brought home to us by slides showing 'before and after' photographs of some beautiful paintings. A most detailed and interesting talk.
Mr Leveton then judged the exhibits - old postcards - brought in by members. 1st Audrey, 2nd Sheila. The raffle was won by Margaret. Jennifer read last month's Minutes and Aleathia reminded us of the forthcoming events.
Next meeting: Monday 14th March in Sparham's Old School Room, when we look forward to a talk on Life and Fashion in the 40s. Hope to see you all - and new members - on the 14th.
Mary Humphrey
