BAWDESWELL PARISH COUNCIL – EXTRACTS OF TWO MEETINGS HELD ON MONDAY 9TH MAY 2005 AT 7.30PM. IN THE VILLAGE HALL

PRESENT:  Councillors Hind, Mallen, Lilwall,Swain,Wallace and Cockburn

ANNUAL PARISH:

     -Councillor Hind re-elected as Chairman and Councillor Mallen as Vice Chairman.

-The Chairman thanked all Councillors and the Clerk for their hard work during the year.

-The Clerk formally presented the Accounts for year 2004/05 which were duly signed (audit date 12th September).   A resume of the years work was then read out (to be printed in June Reeves Tale)

- Chief Superintendent Alan Hayes to be invited to June/July meeting to give update on matters discussed at last years meeting.

PARISH COUNCIL:

-Rural Transport – meeting to be held with Lyng/Elsing in July with someone from NCC and Mrs. Floering Blackman to discuss ways and means of improving the bus service in the villages

Planning:

-PP’s granted to Jasmine House (change of use garage to holiday cottage) and 28 Hall Road –conservatory

-PA’s – 6 Black Horse Close (erection of lst floor extension) – Bawdeswell Primary School (change windows to UPVC) – No Objections

-Work to be carried out on trees between All Saints Church and Saxon Meadows – assurances sought from Breckland that work will be carried out properly by expert.

-Vacant/Surplus Land in front of Folland Court – land being valued by District Valuer details will be sent 2/3 weeks.

-Old Workhouse Bar-transfer of Licence to new owners – Clerk to write stating that PC would like conditions imposed on original PP to be strictly adhered to regarding noise/car parking.

-PC to purchase Radio Megaphone (costing £230) for Village use at events starting with Village Fete on 26th June

-Questionnaire to be delivered to all houses shortly asking Parishioners what activities they attend in and out of village so that this information can be taken into account when applying for grants.

        -Paper Bank has been emptied and is now sited in its new home.
