Margaret Joice

From the beginning of November onwards has been a very sad time for me, with Margaret so ill in hospital.

The offers of help in many different ways have been wonderful.  Although I didn’t take up all the offers, I still appreciate them.

The willingness of people to help with the hospital visiting was very sincere and genuine.

Please accept my grateful thanks for all the concern and kindness you showed then and since hear death.

Celia Joice, Bawdeswell.

Pounds for Poland Appeal

May we thank all those who donated to Robert Jones house-to-house collection earlier in 2006.  Together with a group of pupils from Eccles Hall School at Quiddenham he was able to visit Poland to do work on an Adventure Playground at an orphanage north of Warsaw.  Enough money was raised to invite  a group of the children from the orphanage back to Norfolk for the trip of a lifetime during the summer.

Thank you for donating to such a worthwhile cause.

Dudley and Heather Jones, Kerdiston.

Dog Fouling

We are appalled by the amount of dog fouling along the paths in the village. We have two small children and walk around the village regularly, i.e. to school and the shop and on many occasions we have dog mess on shoes and pushchair wheels.  We continue to dodge the mess all around the village but it is particularly prevalent on the path from Two Fields Way to Paradise Road, our route to school.

To all those people who do clean up after their dogs - Thank you.

Mr & Mrs Spooner, Bawdeswell.

Anonymous

There is a letter from someone in Bawdeswell who has had dog’s mess posted in their letter box and they are rightly very upset about it.  However we are not able to publish the letter as the writer did not identify themselves to the editors. The rule for anonymous letters is that the editors know who it is from.  Sorry.
