FOXLEY SOCIAL CLUB

Christmas Tea Party

On Wednesday 6th December 2006, the club held a tea party in the Village Hall for its members and friends.  It began with the well-known entertainer Toni Ireland playing the electric keyboard, and singing, along with his charming wife, theme tunes from the early days of television as a musical quiz.  It hit on a good nostalgic note with everyone, and there was great straining of the ‘little grey cells’ to recall those ‘Black and White’ days.

Then the highlight of the afternoon was getting to grips with the creaking tables of food that the lady members had ‘rustled up’.  The fare was top class: every type of ‘goodie’ that one could wish for---and then some!  The majority of this feast was of course home-made.  Foxley is blessed with some wonderful cooks!

The Chairlady, Sheila Barrett would like to sincerely thank all that helped to make this such an enjoyable and successful afternoon; and that, of course, was everyone that came!
