FOLLAND COURT PA:  A large number of Parishioners attended the meeting to express their concerns regarding lack of car parking spaces for new houses/extra cars driving around bad bend into Paradise Road causing accidents/type of housing proposed and increased disturbance to existing residents.  (PC letter sent to Breckland about this PA stated it felt that PW had fulfilled all requirements asked for in building affordable housing in the village, providing a green space for use by Parishioners and giving us a new PO building and had itemised these serious concerns.)  Most people at meeting seemed to be in favour of bungalows for retired housing in area.  Breckland received petition signed by 68 people plus six letters of objection.  Awaiting date for Development Control Committee Hearing.   ( this was held on Monday 18th December and PP was refused.  PC  awaiting new PA from Peddars Way).

PARISH COUNCIL IN RECESS UNTIL MONDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2007 – 7.45PM. IN THE VILLAGE HALL.

The chairman would like to thank parishioners for supplying details of a drug problem in the village.   The police were informed and hopefully the problem has now been solved.  This example of co-operation between pc and parishioners shows what can be achieved if we all work together!   Please remember that the parish council can only take action if they are kept fully informed of any problems/concerns in the village.

Editor’s note. The police have done a good job in arresting someone and charged him with 12 offences including burglary and the above.  The culprit has been removed from Bawdeswell and will be appearing in court early in February.  A couple of fairly new children’s bikes were found in the haul and are not reported missing. If you know any children who have lost their bikes, you should call in at Dereham  Police Station.
