FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

It’s good to be back. The Friends of Bawdeswell School would like to wish everyone a very happy New Year. It appears that all of our children had a very exciting time over the Christmas holidays, but they are now all back to school refreshed and ready for challenges.
At this moment the school is responding to the need for aid in East Asia and caring parents have organised a non-uniform day, cake stall and raffle. As this is in the process of happening we cannot report on its success. However everyone is being very generous and genuinely concerned about the disaster, so, in advance, thank you all for your support. Our thoughts are with all those involved.
Fundraising efforts for the new library environment within school also continue. It has been established that the monies raised last term will enable the school to buy the computer needed to set up the catalogue system and links with Norfolk County libraries. We couldn’t have hoped for a better start to this campaign and appreciate all the effort. There is still a fair way to go, but as everyone can appreciate the benefits gained, then the goal is completely achievable.
The 100 club run by the Friends of School is still the most successful fundraiser. However there are numbers available for sale, and with them the opportunity of cash prizes every month. Please contact Sally Swan on 01362 688793.
