MOBILE POLICE OFFICE

The Mobile Police Office will be in ‘The Street’ Bawdeswell 11am until 12.30pm every 4th Thursday.

This is intended to provide a ‘visible’ police presence in the village. Please make sure that you visit them if you have a problem or need information. Pop in and find out what’s happening in the area.

Remaining Planned Visits for 2006 are

This is a good facility for the village. If the police find that it is not being used then it will be withdrawn.

Vandalism and Anti Social Behaviour in Bawdeswell

Acts of mindless vandalism are continuing to happen in our village, the latest being a broken window high up in the village hall where access will require scaffolding etc. Although the hall is insured for this, we (the Council Taxpayers of the village) will have to pay a £250 excess. This money could have been put to better use.

A number of older residents have complained of being frightened late at night by persons returning home after an evening out in the village banging on their windows and committing minor acts of vandadalism. Please have more thought for local residents.

Some persons using the recycling area at the village hall have been dumping their rubbish as well as broken glass. Please stop doing this and dispose of it elswhere. Although the blue wheelie bin is for village hall rubbish you could at least use that instead of just dumping it. How lazy can some people get?
