LETTERS
Albert
Peachment
Margaret and family would like to thank everyone who
sent messages of sympathy, letters, cards and flowers, and support, during this
difficult time after Albert’s sudden death.
Also thanks to Tom and David for their part, Tom’s
tribute and David’s address at Albert’s moving thanksgiving service. Also Edwin’s lovely
organ music which included some of Albert’s favourite
pieces.
It was a great comfort to myself and to the family to learn that so many friends,
British Legion members and colleagues attended the service to say goodbye to
Albert and to know how he was respected and will be missed by so
many.
Donations amounted to £1,700. Margaret Peachment.

Parcel Scam
Thought
it prudent to let you know especially as Christmas is fast
approaching. It has been confirmed
by Royal Mail.
The
Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:- A card
is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service)
suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to
contact them on 0306 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a
mail scam originating from Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear
a recorded message you will already have been billed £15 for the phone call. If
you do receive a card with these details then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on
02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at:- http://www.icstis.org.uk/ or your local
trading standards office. This is a genuine scam and is under investigation by
ICSTIS. Thanks, Stuart Fleming Fraud
