Benefice News and Events

Elsing Church was full to capacity on July 4^th with friends, family and colleagues who had all come together to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of  our Rector’s ordination.  After a very moving Eucharist service there was a party at the village hall where Tom Candeland said a few words and presented David with a wedding stole and a cheque as a gift from the Benefice.  Our thanks to everyone who contributed to the feast and who helped set it all up and clear up afterwards.  Thanks too to the Rector for his contribution of all the refreshments.

The Rector would like to thank all those who gave him their best wishes, and to thank those who contributed to the magnificent present, on the occasion of his 25^th Anniversary of Priesting.  The service was wonderful, and many thanks to the Iceni singers (the combination of the Benefice Choir and the Reepham Singers) for leading the music, and to all those who worked hard in the preparation of food for the party afterwards.  It was a lovely evening.
