Foxley Parish Council  Meeting on Thursday 14 July 2005 
at 7.30 in the village hall.

Present: Mr J Harvey, Mr N Mears, Mrs R Waller, Mr A Westfield, the Clerk, Mr G Bambridge and 4 parishioners 

Apologies: Mrs I Floering Blackman 

Minutes: The minutes of the last meeting were accepted and signed. 

Matters arising: Insurance-Clerk to seek the same but less expensive cover. 
AWA - Chairman still seeking confirmation of what is being done regarding W Foxley. Clerk discovered that "Foxley" is on an AWA list for work. Both items to be pursued vigorously. 
Village Seat - The seat had been there for 18 years and sadly it was felt that the PC were unable to justify moving it. 
Bus Shelter - Working party on Sat 13 Aug from 7.0am. Nick Mears will welcome contact from volunteers. 
Homewatch sign - Mr Harvey will take the matter in hand. 
Speed Camera - Inspector Rush will organise a radar watch at an appropriate place and time. 

Correspondence: included thanks from Reeves Tale, New Best Performance Plan from Breckland letter from Planning re shed at Old Chapel. Clerk to reply to the latter. 

Planning Applications: Permission was granted to: Eastland & Tedore for brick shed &RD & JM Mann for erection of agricultural worker’s dwelling & garage. Application for E Wright -an extension at Oakwood Farm was awaiting a decision. Permission was refused to Mr P Davis for 2 plots adjacent Church Farm Barns. He has since appealed and any objections have to be sent to the Inspector within 6 weeks. The Parish Council will be replying strongly to the Inspector stating that in objecting to this application, they are doing their statutory duty to the Planning Authority and to the wishes of the majority of the parishioners.                         Village Appraisal: Some discussion resulted in defining a need for enthusiastic volunteers to help complete parts of the action plan. Many of the points were changed from short term to ongoing. 

Finance: The clerk received permission to change accounts to try to get more interest on the deposit account. The financial report was circularised, explained and accepted. Payment was approved for the Clerk's expenses. The audit of accounts would soon be complete and available for inspection. Dates to be posted up. The Village Hall Committee requested a letter from the PC indemnifying a loan in order to receive further grant aid for the building of the extension. This was duly given. Date of the next meeting: Thursday 22 September at 7.45 pm - Thursday 1 December and Thursday 16 February 2006, both at 7.30pm.

Police - Please make sure that you do try to visit the Police Mobile whenever you can to discuss items with the staff. There is a possibility that the service will be withdrawn if not used sufficiently.
