OF MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 4th JULY 2005 at 7.30 pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:
duly agreed and signed.
MATTERS ARISING:
- New Premises Licence for
Village Hall will cost £60 for ‘variation of existing Public Entertainment
Licence and £180 annual fee. PC to pay costs from £1,000
included in Precept for Village Hall expenses
- Rural Transport – meeting
to be held at Elsing Village Hall on Monday 18th July at 7pm to discuss
possibility of new bus route.
- Mr. Gurney removing rubbish
at top of Common Lane.
Planning: No Objections
to following 3 PA’s
-Old Workhouse Paddocks,
Reepham Road – Field Shelter. (Breckland investigating report that premises
being used for residential use./ Two Fields Way–2 storey extension/3 Chaucer
Close- Conservatory
PP granted to: Chaucer
House –conservatory/Bawdeswell CP School –windows.
Old Workhouse Bar, The Street
– Mr. & Mrs. Brindle attended the meeting and discussed the complaints
received about noise levels/parking and confirm they are complying with
Breckland’s PP conditions. The PC wished them all the best with their
business but asked them to bear in mind the goodwill of the village.
-Deer sign put up in wrong
place – 20mph speed limit to be investigated this year April 05/April 06
but no clear date given.
New recycling section for
Paper/Bottle/Can Banks and Cleanway bin finished. The PC would like to
thank everyone involved in making this possible- it took a lot of hard
work to accomplish and will be much easier to keep tidy. Complaints about
dog fouling (see separate note)/ cars being parked on grass verge at entrance
to Hall Road – Clerk has spoken to parishioner and hopefully this will
not occur again.

DOG
OWNERS: The PC have had complaints about dog mess by footpath in
The Street in front of Folland Court (large brown dog seen) and dog mess
on footpath between Hall/Paradise Roads. WOULD ALL DOG OWNERS PLEASE
REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEARING UP AFTER THEIR OWN DOG.
PC will shortly have power to issue a fixed penalty notice and introduce
dog control orders.
Chief Superintendent Alan
Hayes has promised to attend the 5th September PC meeting – ‘subject to
unforeseen operational commitments’ to give an update on problems reported
last year. If any Parishioner has an items they wish put on the Agenda
please inform either the Chairman or Clerk |
