Bawdeswell Parochial Church Council

The Annual General Meeting of the Parochial Church Council will take place on Tuesday 24^th April at 7.30pm.  All parishioners are eligible to attend this meeting at which reports on the past year will be presented.

The funeral of Leonard Taylor formerly of Woodbine Cottage took place on Thursday 8^th March.  A good number of his  friends and acquaintances attended the service.  Len was a well known figure in the village until his illness made it necessary to move to Lincoln House.  Our sympathies are extended to all his family.

Women's World Day of Prayer

On a lovely day on March 2nd 35 ladies and 1 gentleman met in St Margaret's Lyng Church to remember Paraguay in our prayers The theme was United under God’s tent and Is anything to hard for the Lord.

Mrs Anne Murphy gave a talk on looking at what unites Christians and to love in God’s love each other. An offering of £ 125 was taken for the movement, £15 for expenses so £110 sent to them. Thank you everyone for making the service go so well.

Christian Aid

There will be an envelope in your May magazine.  Please keep it safe till the week 13th-19th May. I am hoping more people will be willing to go round their village for this worthwhile cause. It would be lovely to have some men to help so let me ask the men please could you find one or two hours in an evening that week to help.
