BAWDESWELL PARISH COUNCIL-EXTRACTS OF MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 5th MARCH 2007 AT 7.45pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL

PRESENT:   Councillor’s  Mallen (acting chairman), Lilwall, Cockburn, Swain, Beane and Wallace   15 parishioners   Mrs. Floering Blackman

APOLOGIES:   Councillor Hind

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING;    Agreed and signed

Mr. Carl Beane was co-opted onto the PC.

PLANNING:

-Bawdeswell Stores, The Street – change of use of 4 bedroom house to 3 No.1 bed houses, replace

derelict shed with extension to retail.  PP refused – ‘in opinion of Council the amenities currently enjoyed by the occupants of adjoining dwellings would be adversely affected by the proposed extension by virtue of noise and disturbance’.

- Folland Court – letter received from Flagship Housing giving details of stock/occupancy of housing in Bawdeswell.   Also costs for providing bungalows on site from which it appears that both Flagship Housing and Breckland feel that design on original PA gives better value for money and provides a more sustainable mixture of tenures and is therefore more likely to receive funding.  Flagship have taken the decision to re-apply for PP based on scheme presented at meeting (PA exactly the same as before but with PO being moved beside one of the houses.)    Matter held pending new PA.

- PP given to Corner House 37a Hall Road for first floor extension.

- Wood Farm – Enforcement Notice issued - building of vehicle storage unit to cease – Applicant has two calendar months from 23rd March unless appeal is made.

- T-Mobile installation – letter sent saying PC totally against erection of mast due to health concerns and possible effects from emissions and radiation which are still unknown.   Breckland to be asked if PP required.

- Rendering Plant, Clay Hall Farm, Gt. Witchingham – Letter of objection sent to Breckland/NCC – inappropriate for built up area – too large – concerns about safety – additional lorry movements along A1067 carrying waste materials– emissions/odour pollution.

- Dog Mess -Complaints received about dog mess in The Street.   Two new dog bins have been put up – one beside footpath between hall/paradise roads and second at the top of common lane.    Please make sure you clean up after your dog.

NEXT MEETING IS ON MONDAY 2ND APRIL 2007 at 7.45pm IN THE VILLAGE HALL – THIS IS THE LAST MEETING OF THE CURRENT PARISH COUNCIL BEFORE MAY ELECTIONS.
