Easter and Holy Week

The services planned for Easter and Holy Week are as follows:

 

Maundy Thursday           Lyng                 7.30pm

Good Friday                   Lyng                 10.30am

                         Foxley              10.30am

                         Sparham           noon

                         Elsing to Lyng Walk 3pm  followed by tea at the Rectory

Easter Eve                     Bawdeswell First Communion of Easter 8.30pm

Easter Day                    Maybe a bonfire at Elsing 7.15am with vigil (Communion at 10.30)  - please look at noticeboard

Bawdeswell GiG 10am

 

The new service pattern for a trial period of four months starts in May.  Every second Sunday there will be a United Communion Service.  May’s service will be held at Bylaugh, June at Elsing, July at Foxley and August at Lyng.  There will also be a United Benefice Service on 29th April at Bawdeswell run by the Children’s Society.

 

There are quite a few events for April starting with

7th Coffee morning and 100 club draw at Bawdeswell Church 10.30am

18th Coffee morning at Walnut Tree Farm, Lyng Easthaugh 10.30am

28th Men’s breakfast at Sparham.  Invitations will be issued soon!

 

Advance Notice

St Thomas Church, Foxley

To help with fundraising for St Thomas’ and to replace a broken stained glass window the large garden next to the church will be open for visitors one day each month.

The former meadowland continues to be developed into a peaceful and wildlife friendly garden.  Planting is varied throughout the year, with several interesting features and seating areas.

When                First Tuesday each month, commencing Tuesday 1st May 2007
