BAWDESWELL COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Reception Class at Bawdeswell Primary thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Chinese traditions and cultures. This included activities like making and decorating lanterns, making tissue paper blossom trees, playing with and preparing and tasting Chinese food as well as dancing with a ‘REAL’ Chinese lion, and many more.
We would like to send many thanks to the Riverbank Chinese Restaurant at the Riverside, Norwich for their generosity and loan of the Chinese Lion, in which we danced with to celebrate ‘Chinese New Year’
Happy Chinese New Year to you all. Kim Westall and Class 1.
Class 4 Trip to Victorian School. Class 4 visited the Victorian School at Gt Cressingham on Tuesday 7th March. The whole day was enjoyed by all. The children took part in traditional playground games including, marbles, British bulldog, hopscotch, ring games and what’s the time mister wolf.
Here are some comments from the children:-
“ I really enjoyed the wooden hoop race, except when my hoop went into the hedge” Leigh Schonewald.
“ I found it really hard sitting in the cold on the wooden chairs. I really enjoyed the lessons especially singing”
Jordan Roberts.
“The sewing was excellent, apart from pricking myself once or twice, but that added to the effect of being a Victorian child.
